Saxophone Care and Feeding 1. When assembling your saxophone, avoid touching the keys as much as possible. 2. Always hold your saxophone by its body. Do not carry it by the neck. 3. Always rinse your mouth out of food particles before you play. Never chew gum or eat while playing. 4. Always swab the condensation out of your saxophone before you put it away. 5. Always remove the reed from the mouthpiece when you put it away, or mold will grow in your mouthpiece. 6. Always cover the mouthpiece with the cap when you put it away. 7. Always replace the end plug to the main body. 8. Once a week gently wipe the outside of your saxophone with a soft cloth. 9. Never store your music in the case 10. Never set your saxophone on a chair where it can easily be knocked off. 11. Never let anyone else hold or play your saxophone. 12. Never allow the saxophone pads to get wet. 13. Keep an eye on the saxophone screws but never try to adjust them yourself. 14. If you think something is wrong with your saxophone, show it to Mr. Ericson. He can probably fix it.
